Anyone else get fed up being sent on courses that rather than expand your knowledge of the job just waste your time???
Been on a few recently, went on one a few weeks ago on selling vehicle options. Baically a full day course spent learning what new vehicle options are available and how to sell them i.e. Adaptive forward lighting. The room was filled with people like myself who were all, apart from 2, more than aware what options were available and didnt need a 6hour course costing £120 a head to tell them.
The even more ironic thing was I knew more about the spec of the cars than the instructor did, and ended in an arguement over ESP as he didnt have an understanding on the differance between ESP and ESP+.
Now Ive got to go on another course this week to Luton costing £120 + travelling +hotel +expenses to learn how to hand a new car over to a customer. Part of this course was an online training course, and what was that on? The Vauxhall car range :
This course is designed to provide general product information of the following carlines: Agila, Corsa, Meriva, Tigra TwinTop, Astra, Zafira, Vectra/Signum and the VXR car range
Teaching granny how to suck eggs comes into it not to mention the fact that the course was based on old Agila, Vectra (which is no longer) & Signum (which is no longer).
