    Phone contract

I have now had it with my phone contract, what happens if you cancel it ?
about 4 weeks ago i got my bill threw, noticed it was far over priced and realised that they had charged me for every text and call i made, even tho i get unlimited texts and 800 mins.
so when i rang them them i was told to not pay the bill until i get a new recalculated bill threw, so i left it thinking the bill was on the way.
sevrel weeks later i got a call saying they are still waiting for payment. Yet again i explained and they agreed and they said theyd get back to me. They did and requesteds that i pay my normal fee of 25.50 which i did.
Few phone calls later same thing over and over.
today my phone has been resricted cant make any phone calls or texts. and they still want the full orignal price of the bill minus what i have paid.
    What should i do ????

    help would be appriciated

You normally have to buy yourself out of a contract, it is, afterall, a contract.

I'd be tempted to put things in writing first, maybe ring first to say you are doing this, if they have charged you for things they shouldn't have, then I don't know why they are chasing money that they are not entitled to.

Trading Standards 'may' be of help? Not sure but worth asking them for advice.

Put it to them in writing instead of over the phone. Send Recorded delivery.

A good site for dealing with companies like this is http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk
    No longer an astra owner

    Now a Vectra owner

    What network are ya on?

I've been with T-Mobile for 3 years now, and they are quick to solve problems, and even replaced my phone after I put it down in some water while at work and I didn't even have phone insurance!
