I was also wondering about removing the EGR system, not sure if there any bad side effects or gains to be had?

I've been looking at 'Whitevanman's engine spec, seems hes up around 140bhp with the Isuzu engine (1.7 DTI) so i'd like to hear his opinion on what we could start with.

Whitevanman, i read you used a cossie IC on yours, was that an escort or sierra? Did it fit well? And piping?

    Thanks!

we have a variety of maps from mild to wild. mild being around 95-100bhp (up from 75bhp) to around 120bhp. reliabilty isnt really an issue if you look after your engine, mine has been running its current spec since 100k and is now at 123k and is (touch wood) the most reliable car i'v owned. for a mild map you can run everything else as standard but for a wild map i do recommend a few mods to the air intake etc and at the least a k+n or perfomance panel filter as your turbo will need more air. a new fmic is always good if you can stretch to it

So what intercooler shall i go for? What fits best and gives good improvement.

I'll also do veccy c intake and airbox mods, panel filter and maybe remove EGR, is this worth it?

    Thanks!

cant really say which one is the best as which ever you go for you cant buy off the shelf bolt on kits its a case of trail and error and measuring up etc, air box mods etc are definatly worth doing as it helps the turbo to boost up
