how low are sri-t standard + can i make coilovers lower than stated?

hi there, ive got an sri-t, and wan't to know how much lower are they to standard?

as im thinking of getting this kit, which i can get new for £500 delivered:
    http://www.venommotorsport.com/produ...ory=Suspension

this kit says it will go 35-65mm .

    1. will this be low enough?

    2. are there ways to make it lower than what they have stated? ive been told if you take out adjuster plates it will go lower, but how much lower?

    3. im thinking of going for this kit over the fk konigsports that go up to 100mm, because on these you can adjust everything lowness and shock stiffness on the car, where as on the fk's you have to take the shocks off to adjust. and about £120 cheaper.

    any advice is much appreciated

    cheers
    matt

Try them, i have these on my car. ive dropped mine 80mm on teh front (lowest without fouling the arches, more to go) and about 80mm on the rear, (took the adjuster plate out (drops a further 15mm)) but id get something to secure the spring in place, some kind of cylider with the I/D of the axle and O/D of the Spring.

yes you can take the rear adjuster plates out, and take the front 'helper springs' out on Fk's, this is a common mod done my many VW drivers to get them low enough, If it aint rubbin', You aint dubbin'

thanks, so if i take adjusters out i can get about another 15mm. but can this cause any problems, as i don't actually know what these do?

and nathan they look good value, but i really want adjustable shocks, so i can make it softish for road, and then nice and stiff for track days.

just need to know how low mine is currently so i can work out how low i need to be able to go.

it should be dropped 20mm as standard, same as the sxi i have. the rears you get and extra 15mm, the fronts i cant get to the max drop with out srubbing the arches. and i still have my helper spring in. Ill admit the ones i have are quiet stiff. but bearable. and easy to fit.
