    calling all astra experts

ok from the start, i have been getting vibration through my steering wheel, so i took wheels off and noticed excesive wear on the inside of both tyres so i took it to national where i got the tracking done when i got new tyres. but they have said its not the tracking coz its sitting fine and its not the wheel balance, but the said it could be that the KPI (king pin incline, i think) needs ajusting because its sitting toe-in quite bad and only vauxhall could do it. but i went to vauxhall and they said they dont have the equipment to do it, so ive been round all the garages and nobody can do it, some have never heard of it.
the suspention set up has never been touched as they thought it might of been that.
so what can i do to fix the problem, ( put in new suspention? i have no idea) its a mk4 astra 2.2

Someon'e trying to shoow off by telling you it's KPI

It's more likely one of the factors that determine KPI, which are castor and cmaber. I'd wager it's your camber that's out

First you need to get you camber checked, to see how far out it is

There is a good few degrees adjustment with the standard bolts without having to buy those pointless adjustment bolts. And if you can't get get enough adjustment with the OE bolts, then simply file the holes in the shock brackets slightly oval, and try again

you will need to find someone how can accuratley check camber tho

i bought a wee tool to see wot the camber was at and its sitting at -1 which haynes said is right but i took the top bolt out of the strut and the hub holder thing poped out and took the driveshaft out with it. i put it all back together but im still getting the vibration after 60 and i think it is worse now. im just wondering if the driveshaft is bent. any thoughts ??
