Well another Sunday and another random drive. Myself and Lugy (Migweb) headed out for a run Northwards to take in the views and do our bit to help global warming.
So a relativly early start at Mcdonalds Dulloch park Dunfermline, stocked up on Mr McMuffins finest we decided to head up to Perth and from Perth outwards towards Braemar.
The weather wasnt exactly tropical, and wasnt helped by the fact the majority of the local wildlife seemed to have entered into an en-mass suicide pact:
Stopped for an impromtue photo just outside Braemar:
Lugy having forgot to fill his washer bottle resorted to some natural screen wash, or snow as we call it:
The plan had been to continue up along Deeside, however Lugy dug out his map and started to get rather excited about a road with a hill, fair play, game for a laugh it was only -2 so big hills should be debatable at best. So with that we headed along the A939 Cockbridge to Tomintoul road:
A quick refreshment stop at the Lecht ski centre, who served the worlds worst chips and most overcooked hamburgers:
After an hour of admiring the local blonde Ski talent it was back out through the Glenlivet estate to Tomintoul. From there we headed out towards the A9 to head back down towards Perth and back to Dunfermline:
Total driving time for the day 7hours 30min, total distance covered 299.4miles, fueal consumption 28.1mpg less than a tank of fuel.
