    Vibration When pulling away

    Noticed when you move away in 1st,usually after starting up it makes a weird vibrating noise lasting a split second coming from the left side of the car,it sounds like summat in or behind the dash actually.Please help if you can.Thanks.

    What does that mean? it sounds more electrical,like inside the car than owt else??

    What is your model LynneSri?

    Just started noticing a similar thing on my Mk3 Astra 1.6, happens on acceleration in practically all gears but mainly when cold. Sounds like it's coming from the left dash/engine bay, like a rattling sound.

    Its a 2002 18 Sri its only after its been started.When you move away.

    i had kind of a similar problem and found out that it was a loose screw in the dash and only vibrated when i reved up to pull away. hope this helps or gives u something to go on
    2000, 1.6 8v, 148k miles-156k now 160k and not far off dyeing. Oh and still growing. -There may be spelling mistakes in my posts but at least you still understand it

    When you start a car with ABS (at least as far I can read on here) the ABS performs some form of test on the ABS system to check it is working OK, which some report as being a judder/noise from the left front of the car.
