the time has come! intercooler ?????

well i have finally reached that point where i am looking at going forward with the coupe

my car is getting a custom map done at end o jan and to improve things i have desided to change a few things on the car first..

starting with centre section on zorst, it needs replaced as brakets are snapped and im sure its starting to blow.

secondly is the intercooler... im looking at a FM one....what do u lot think o this? clicky clicky

now at the moment all i have done to the coupe is the following:

    BMC CDA air intake
    Superchips map
    precat
    inlet cam

    its running 257 BHP and 238 lb/sqf
    ( worked out at 220 BHP @ wheels )

although on the rollers last week it only hit 250 BHP and 230 lb/sqf
    ( worked out @ 208 BHP @ wheels )

what i wanna know is the following.....

is this kit gonna fit behind the GSi bumper without me cutting half my car away? am i able to do this without visiting the local hospital and is it worth doing?

    Ok, you asked for it!!

257bhp seems quite high with the standard IC, but anyways yea ...

Most FMIC's fit behind the GSI bumper without many problems, the Coupe bumper is the one with least room.

Some of the "universal" IC's don't have the build quality of those supplied by Courtenay or Regal but pretty much do the same job ... however you do pay for what you get.
