    Are HT Leads universal?

    Hi Guys,

Was just wondering if HT leads are universal and can fit any manufacturer/model?

Obviously there are differences in length etc but on the whole should they be interchangable?

    Thanks

Some manufacturers have specific leads, with different types of fitment at the the DIS end, they're all roughly the same as far as the spark plug end goes. Although some will be different lengths, depending on how far into the top of the block they need to go.

Also 8v ones are usually (if not always) different to 16v ones.

That probably doesn't make it much clearer, but in short, no they aren't universal.

    Edit: 1.6 8v mk4s have leads don't they?

Yeah they do, definitely on the X16SZR but not too sure on the Z16SE.

    Are they the blue ones?

I used to work at a place that sold them and quite often they would be tempremental, there's prob nothing wrong with em, just I remember a few sets coming back.
