X18XE1 Flat Spot. Help me before i trash it!

Ok this things starting to cost me lots now,
    It's a 1.8 16v Astra CDX 2002 (Apparently a 1999 Model)

In the past week to tackle a suspected misfire its had...
    - New Plugs
    - New Coilpack
    - EGR Both Removed & Refitted
    - EGR Blanked Off
    - Lambda Sensor Replaced
    - Throttle Body & Inlet Manifold scrubbed (They literally SHINE now!)

And ive not got so much of a misfire now but according to my dad who seems to be an expert on it... it's still only firing on 3 cyls. Now the only things i can think of are:
    - ECU F**kerd
    - Wiring Loom hacked, (Seems somebody has had a play before and hacked up some wires, all been checked tho!)
    - Something else!?!?!?

My next big job is to remove the wiring loom tommorow and check each & every wire from the ECU to the Engine has full un-interupted continuity(sp?)

I'm getting no Engine Management Lights at all either, And if it makes a difference both my Traction Control & ABS Are perminantly lit in my dashboard.

Anymore help would be REALLY REALLY Apreciated, im giving it until next weekend before i begin considering taking it to the scrappy! lol

The TC & ABS lights being on is likely to be a hub sensor on the fritz, does the speedo work ok all the time? Have you had the car on Tech 2?

I've not had it on Tech 2 no, Theres no lights thus no codes to read i understand that much.

The speedo works perfectly, as does the digital KM/h one in the trip comp.

Just cos theres no EML doesnt meant Tech2 wont pick it up

If its a pukka Tech2 (ie Vauxhall jobbie) they can test all the other ECUs on the car and not just the engine one (ie the EML - which isnt lit)

Obviously youve got ABS/TC lit which is more than likely a knackered hub - therefore the presence of these lights indicates a fault code stored within the ABS ECU and therefore Tech2 will be able to pinpoint exactly which hub is affected.

When my hub was fecked on my sport the car would often stall at junctions, it's possible it could be linked to the misfire. It's worth sorting, that way you've eliminated on more possibility and one more problem.

Like Marti said, just cos there's no eml light, doesn't mean there aren;t any faults, the fact that the TC and ABS lights are lit must be an obvious sign that something is amiss!
