tweeter on front door astra and alpine speakers

I have recently bout some 17cm from door speakers from Alpine. These in fact http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/4661.html and in the innner sleeve of the box it has this meesage

"WARNING - This product contains a high performance tweeter. If there is a tweeter already installed in your car, then you must disconnect its terminals. If you leave the original tweeter connected and connect this product in parallel, then a fault may develop in this product, so you are strongly recommended not to do so."

What i want to know is is this applicable to the Astra Mk4 1998 with tweer in the front a pillar. If so how do i discnnect the tweeter and if not is it safe to leave it plugged in and have the speakers in as well. Also does the rear speaker setup have a tweeter back there and the same question applies.

cheers for anyones help as i dont really want to blow up new speakers immediatley after getting them

If you want to remove the front tweeter all i did was unplug it, roll it up and stick it inside the door.

Some of the 5 doors i know have tweeters in the rear but not all of them.

I'd be surprised if you blew anything running both tweeters

If you did run both though i'm sure it would sound to harsh

By taking out the OEM door speaker you disconnect the tweeter anyhow. Plus you need to remove the OEM tweeter to fit the new Alpine one in its place too!

I did a similar thing for a short while. And the front tweeter still worked, replacing the oem speaker and replacing it didn't switch off the tweeter.
