i have fitted a VXR Turbo to my Z20LET, and definitely did NOT need a new fuel rail.

To make life easy, call LMF, and they will sell you a complete kit of everything you need to change the turbo's.

Also, you may want to consider fitting the Coolant Modification at the same time, as this can only be fitted with the turbo off. Again, LMF have these kits off the shelf.

Z20LET Coolant systems circulate coolant in a particular direction. Unfortunately, the direction of the coolant means that hot coolant goes into the turbo from the radiator. When allowing the turbo to cool down after driving, hot coolant is flowing into the turbo, this is not good!

Vauxhall caught on to this, and the VXR engines now have a coolant system that flows in the opposite direction, allowing cold coolant into the turbo.
Vauxhall produce kits for Z20LET's, that allow the coolant to circulate in the same direction as the VXR, they are suitably called 'Turbo Repair Kits', by Vauxhall.

Installation involves the removal of the turbo, the coolant pipe on the back of the turbo replaced with a VXR one, replacement of a couple of coolant pipes to the radiator and header tank. Plus a few washers and clips. I've done two myself, and their not that bad.

When ordering one of these kits, be sure to specify model and year of car, as there are two kits available, Astra and Zafira.

    Not sure what this is:
    90513210 - Mounting paste 1 of £13.31

But don't put paste between the manifold and head as it's likly to end up in the turbo!
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!
