    Electric Window Switch

I have a problem with my existing Window Switch Wiring, in that the connectors and wires are a little old and not working so well.

I have brought a new window switch connector with the wires but the new one i have bought has more wires.

    For Example

    Current Wiring:
    BLACK
    BROWN
    BLUE & RED STRIPE
    GREEN & GREY STRIPE
    YELLOW & GREY STRIPE
    BLUE & YELLOW STRIPE

    New Wiring:
    ALL THE ABOVE
    GREY & RED STRIPE
    WHITE
    BLUE
    WHITE & GREY STRIPE
    BLUE & WHITE STRIPE

Would i be right in thinking that i could connect all the corresponding wires to each other and just leave all the extra wires alone?

If you look into where the wiring plugs into the new switch does it have the same number of pins to wires> I'm wondering if it's a 4 switch wiring plug and a 2 switch switch?

Just connecting up colour to colour should be fine though

Just looked anyway and yes the new wiring if for a 4 way electric window switch
