    Power Steering :(

    Being the dopey fool i am i just connected the jump leads up the wrong way round.

    Now my car is running but have no power steering at all. Checked fuse 23 for steersing and its still fine. Any sudgestions?

    Does the battery light come on when the ignition is first turned on then go out when the cars started? The battery being flat could point towards a faulty alternator?

    Otherwise check the larger fuses under the bonnet, one of those controls the power steering too.

    yeh i my cars been stood for a little while while i saved up for insurance and being silly again i left the PC in hibernate so the battery went flat. Checked the big fuses under the bonnet and all seems to be fine.

    The fuse would be the 2nd one up from one end (don't know which) 80 amps!
