RR results at Regal with NA Astra 2.0sri

    Hi Everyone,

just thought I would document my day and results down at Regal as this site seems awash with modded turbo'd cars but not allot of us lesser folks lol

At the mo my mods are as follows:
-de-restricted air box with larger intake
-Piper fast road cams (270 duration)
    -Regal EDS remap
    -Piper rear box

    Planned mods:
    -Miltex centre section
    -Sports cat (200 cell)

Firstly Chris and the gang were very professional and certainly know their stuff, my ecu was scanned and found 2 sensors were out those being the cam sensor and oxygen sensors which had to be replaced before any mapping could go ahead.

Once that was out the way, the first power run produced 151bhp which is 17bhp up from standard so the cams were doing their stuff!

After the software was downloaded, a few more tweeks and runs later was showing a healthy 158bhp which I was told would increase if I was using Shell Optimax (D'oh).

Other suggestions were magnecors leads, an FSE fuel valve and NGK plugs, no doubt I will be looking into this ion the future.

So there you go my wee 2.0sri is now producing around 160bhp and pulls hard around the 4000rpm mark.

    Hope this helps anyone!!

Great stuff. Good to see some great work being done on these N/A cars and I bet i was a shock for regal to see something without a turbo for once.

Cams are definatly worth looking into but to make the most from them you'd want to sort out the induction and exhaust things out first to help with scaveging.

Yeah cams are a thumbs up although TBH I wasnt too impressed at first as when they were first fitted I couldn't feel much difference but I guess the dodgy cam sensor was to blame for that!
