    Question 2.0 DTI oil filter.

The oil filter on the 2.0 DTI is in its own housing. Does anyone know the socket size to get the top off? All I know is it is massive and I don't have a socket big enough!

    36mm it is.

I got one of these of Ebay, really worth the few quid:

Just looked through my toolkit thinking I had a big enough socket for it, miles out, biggest I got is 19mm and thats huge :| Anywhere else you can get a 36mm from? Wilkos or what not or is it something you have to go somewhere special for?

I've just bought the one on Ebay, not a bad price considering how much Halfords charge for single sockets!

Any decent motorfactors will have a 36mm filter socket. Mine's a 1/4" drive.
