    Question fitting a 6 speed to my X18XE1

    Which is the 6 speed box (eg F23 / F28 etc..) ?? Can i fit a 6 speed box to my X18XE1 ? if so,what is required r required?

    the f28 is 6 speed. not sure if the f28 would fit your engine though.
    if it does then you will need to make some gearbox mounts as the f28 mounts wont fit an astra mk4.
    you would then need to convert the f28 to 2 wheel drive and hydraulic clutch.
    Ive got the m-tech conversion kit and biggest part of the kit is to fit the f28.

    with only 113bhp on tap why would you even want to consider the ballache of adapting a 6 speed box to fit

    if u want an extra cog then do a LET/LEH conversion and fit an M32 box

    Im playin wiv the idea of droppin an X20LET Redtop(i think its the X20LET,correct me if im wrong). I could put an F28 box on that couldnt i??

    I thought C20Let was a Turbo? I dont want a Turbo, just the 2.0 16v DOHC 150bhp engine (same as mk3 GSi & Cav GSi).

    The 'T' in the engine model dicates it is a Turbo engine...presuming then that there may be a C20LE? Saying that, it'd be easy enough to pull 150bhp out of the 1800 16v...probably for less money that fitting a 2litre!
