    Question Astra MK4 CDX Alarm...

    Hey!

I havn't has this car long and not owned a car with an alarm. If i deadlock the car with me in and jump around like a numpty (assuming its going off the internal momvment sensors) the indicators start flashing but nothign else happens...well that wont deter criminals so what is supposed to happen?

What else does the alarm do? Does it have shock sensors? I have tried shaking the car and nothing happens...

    As usual all help appreshiated.

    Cheers,
    Steve

If you jack the car up the alarm goes off, or if you leave the bonnet just popped on the latch, then lift it up it goes off as well. Some drunken muppet of a mate was rocking my car like mad trying to set teh alarm off at 3 in the morning but my stepdad saw him, but the alarm didn't go off.

It could be the batteries in the power sounder have died. Just replace the power sounder, it's easy enough to do

    Power sounder is £50

The alarm goes off on any doors, boot, bonnet, movement sensor and tilt sensor
