    Courtenay Sport Air Filter

Ordered a Courtenay Sport Air Filter 2 weeks ago and it arrived. Just tried to put it in my car (1.6 16v 2005) and it doesn't fit

It's about an inch less wide than the one that's on it at the moment so it just flops in the Airbox. So annoyed, I ordered the correct one according to the Courtenay site, I'll get on them now to double check.

Just wondered if anyone else has had the same thing before?

If it doesn't fit then, but you're confident you ordered the right one, then Courtenay have sent the wrong one/it was the wrong one in the box

    Phone them up!

Just rang them and yup, they say it's the manufacturer that's packed it incorrectly but bloody hell, waited 2 weeks for it to come into stock

Update on this - sent the first one back, they've sent another one and it still doesn't fit rang them up and they said send it back and they'll refund me... You would have thought after me saying it doesn't fit that they would have compared the one I sent back to the one they were sending to me

Really annoyed because I wanted one wondering if anyone else has ordered one for an Astra H Petrol model? Because according to them they're all the same size for all Petrol models except the Turbo.

They're probably sending a turbo IE VXR version out to you which IIRC is slighty larger than a 1.8/1.6/1.4. If they're being boxed up incorrectly then courtenay may have been sent old stock under the guise of 'corrected' stock, which isn't their fault.

Why not try an ITG filter from Thorney motorsport? (I cross reference part numbers on ITG's website to make sure I got the correct one).

i ordered one from coutneay and it took over 2months to be delivered due to the fact "there tooling machine went bust and they got a new one made and it was making the filters too big"

but i have the G and as far as i'm awair they are the same filter sizes. am sure that was the same code as mine aswell.

to put it simply - they are talkin bullshit

they say that they are all the same except the turbo???

    actually this is bollocks

the Turbo (in your model guise ie the Z20LEH/R/L) share the same filter element as your Z16XEP (and indeed most other models in the Astra H range) except 1.9CDTi amongst others - also the same filter is used in Astra G models - all except the 2.2

Standard Vx part number being 91155714 across the range therefore the same aftermarket filter/dimensions

Either cancel the order or get on the blower and tell them they are shit lol

I had a go at them and having a refund + the cost for me to post the filter back to them won't go near them ever again, the guy on the phone was an idiot.
