    Price Needed: Dropping a Z20LET into my 1.8 coupe.

    Any ideas guys and girls??

    I have no donar parts, so really is a price from start to finish including fitting.

    would it not be cheaper to buy a tubby and transfer all your bits over, then sell the 1.8? no engineering reports, and no insurance hassle.

    As above really m8 prob not cost worthy to do a transplant when you can buy one. someone once said to me before on one of the forums " never build a car that you can buy" which makes sense in alot of circumstances i suppose

    VEry true indeedy, problem is i'm 22 and the insurance on a GSI/SRI Turbo i imagine would be quite high.

    Oh noooo, not all.

    Just thinking the insurance might be a tad pricy for me driving a GSi, then again its gonna be pricy on a coonversion if not more expensive...doh!

    ...hahaha, from paying £400 fully comp for my coupe I don't think I would even entertain over £1000 for any car let alone a coupe turbo. Yeah if it was a porsche or such like but not a vx.
