    Argh, Mot.....

hi all, my car went in for an MOT this morning, and just got a phone call like 10 mins ago saying all is good except the break pipes are corroded...

Then i ask how much to change these and he says about £470 tops... i really dont have that kind of cash spare at all.

Is it really that much?????? am i best off phoning garages to see if i can get cheaper? or is it really that much and im not going to see much cheaper else were...

also if anyone knows any good garages around in Manchester let me know! haha

Dont get him todo the work as hes having a laff. I think you should be able to get some geniuine pipes unless you have to fabricate them (ie bend the pipe work your self)

Did he say where the pipes were ? is it the whole lot ? Or just fronts or rears ?

Let us know how it goes.

    Cheers Chris

    yeah, that'll be it.

I'd also recommend naming and shaming the garage you've been to so that other members can avoid them in future.
