Thumbs Up First time with the Machine Polisher... OMG!

Thought it was time to treat myself to a new machine polisher and some more cleaning product. Got in contact with cleanyourcar and they sort me out with plenty of product, at a very good price of course

As this was the first time Ive ever used a machine polisher I required a Guinea Pig... and my sister came to the rescue!!

Her Mk4 astra 1.4LS was in a shocking state! Scratches all over the bodywork and the worst area was the roof, never seen anything so bad!!

First of all we used the snowfoam and then clayed the bodywork.

We then prepared for the polishing.....

As this was the first time we only went for a very mild cutting pad and polish (Sonus SFX-2 Enhance Polish, Sonus SFX-2 Paint Polishing Pad). Done 2 passes on the bonnet and then checked the progress, and we we're very suprised!! The results were outstanding, most of the scratch marks had been removed apart from a few very deep scratch marks.

We then continued on the rest of the car.

The roof after 2 passes (all marks removed).....

Once the whole car was complete we then applied Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish Polish with a Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish & Wax Pad. This again made the paintwork even smoother and gave it a very deep shine.

The finish stage was to apply the wax. We used Dodo Juice Rainforest rub.

    The final results......

As it was our first time with the machine polisher we were very happy with the results. The colour of the car has now got a very deep shine to it and has transformed the paintwork.
