    Turbo Problem

    Am Having Trouble With My Astra Coupe 2lt Turbo, Turbos Not Kicking In And The Traction Control Light Comes on, AllSo At 2 And A Half Thousand Revs And Service Light Comes On. allso the boost pipe is being all sucked in when i put my foot on the accellaratetor.Any Ideas..... As Am Really Stuck

    which boost pipe is going flat?? is it the one from the ic to the tophat! if so there is a blockage somewhere or the turbo has seized up????

    Turbo's baked! ... you probably mean the power pipe from the IC to top hat. Do the brake and gas pedal trick to see what the stored codes are ... but my bet is on MAP ... it comes on when the turbo is totaly destroyed and can't even spin (mine was like that )
    The only way to be 100% certain that work has been done properly is to do it yourself.

    Yes, same thing happened to me,

    Is it whining or do you hear nothing at all?

    I suspect nothing at all which would suggest the turbo has siezed

    no noise at all coming from it, which turbo is in it at the min ? what do you think i should do ? replace the turbo ?

    Remove pre-cat ... get a feel on the turbos propeller ... try to rotate by hand, feel for axial and radial movement. If its the turbo you probaly will experience difficulty when rotating the propeller, have a lot of axial play and twice as much radial ....
    also do the brake/gas pedal trick to see if I'm corect and the fault code is MAP like I told you!
    The only way to be 100% certain that work has been done properly is to do it yourself.

    am not a macanick so i cant check the turbo myself. did the break and acc test, was 5,3,10,10 or 5,4,10,10. flashes go quick, took it to a garage yesterday they plugged it in and could find nothin wrong with it on the computer ?
