    Astra Coupe Alarm....

    I have a 2.2 bertone coupe.

Now when I lock it, the first button press locks all the doors and then a further one activates the alarm. Since I have had it though its never sounded, only have the indicators ever gone off when something has been moving inside or hit it to spark it off. Its as if there is no sounder?!?

Its about time I got it sorted so it works, where do i check though? Any help appreciated!!!

There probably isn't an alarm. are there sensors in the map light and a little red light on your hazard switch?

if your meaning the standard alarm the the first press locks it and the second one deadlocks it m8 the alarm will set with the first press. well the power sounder on the G's often go wrong so someone may have removed it. have a look up under your passenger side wheel arch liner to see if you have one buddy

Best way to check is to see if you have little 'bug eye' things on either side or the ceiling light and a red LED that flashes in the hazard switch.

If you have, then it could be the batteries in the power sounder failing and the previous owner removed it.

If not, then you won't have an alarm (well not the vxl one any way).

If the alarm definatly arms on the second press then it's a aftermarket one. If as others have said and you have sensors in your interior light then it will be a standard fit version

Really need to know what one you have before we can offer advice
