    Feeling poo today

    Mels tip for the day:

Don't get one of your staffy bitches spayed at the same time that you have a full on cold, plus your nearly 2 year old has got yet another chest infection, and wakes up pretty much on the hour needing juice.

Ive had to split the staffys up, because Flurrie (the one who's just been done) is feeling very sorry for herself due to having the after effects of the anaesthetic, and she is on very strict instructions from the vet that she has to rest for 7 days, plus she really doesn't like having a lampshade on her head, so shes doing a howley whine, and has been all night, which in turn sets the other one off, even though the only thing separating them is a baby stair gate, so its not like they are out of view of each other.

Hope has had a stonking cough for about a week, so I decided (after she threw up on my parents new £850 carpet) that another trip to the Dr's is needed. Came out with more instructions for her inhalers, plus anti-biotics. She seems to be getting in the swing of waking up a lot overnight recently, so of course, I get woken up as well.

Three days ago, the mother of all cold (not as bad as man flu, obviously ) jumped on me, and my nose is a constant stream of...well...not nice stuff. I hardly ever get colds

So thats why I feel poo...lack of sleep, full of cold, and I have to go to work today as two of the other gilrs are off

It's bad enough when one (dog or child) is unwell, without them both at it

aww that's awful have a big virtual hug!

My tip of the day is get some nasal decongestant spray like the sudafed one - it REALLY works and means you can breathe properly for at least 6 hours which enables you to get a good nights sleep (at least until disturbed by dogs/children!) It makes a huge difference and I don't know how I ever got through a cold without it - now they're a breeze so long as I keep topped up with decongestant.

It's not a pleasant feeling when you sniff it and it hits the back of your throat (eye winwing, throat gagging stuff) but it REALLY is worth the brief moment's discomfort for 6 hours of being able to breathe and not getting your nose rubbed raw from tissues.

Next tip - ultrabalm tissues really are the dog's danglies!

    Get better soon hun.

    Kirsty.

I was reading the title thinking you had lost an item of jewellery and the dog had swallowed it...so you had to pick up the poo to feel for the ring !!!
