Angry Oil Pressure has gone!! +light is on help??

I was changing my oil and filter, so i started my astra 1.8 sport "99" and left it to idle for 5-10mins to warm the oil prior. Left it for 10- 15min then drained it. after i had finished i started up my car only to find the oil pressure light was on and there was no oil pressure. Its not due to my work as ive had it checked over and bin told its done perfectly. I think it could be something to do with the oil pressure switch or the oil pump. Has any one one any ideas or experienced this themselves?? Any help appriciated....

first thing to try is removing the oil pressure switch and give it a clean in case it is clogged and cant sense the pressure..also did it sound noisy when you restarted your engine after the oil change:ie tappets rattling etc?

is the castrol oil you are using fully synthetic, also low oil pressure could be the main bearings worn, because your engine has 105,000 miles on the clock you might need a thicker oil

Fully/semi/mineral will have very little bearing on low oil pressure. All that is the makeup of the oil...
Fully synthetic - 100% man made
Semi synth - a mix of fully synth & mineral oil
Mineral oil - 100% oil from the ground not man made.
    Its a jam thing
