    Black Diamond Brake Discs

Have been planning to get some black diamond discs and pads for my z20let astra g van as I need new brakes anyway and these would help me with my colour coding, but after searching for info on them on this site I saw in one thread someone said they don't stay black.

Is this true and how quickly does this happen? They're quite highly rated anyway but to be honest I was really only getting them as they are black but if this is just a thin coating that will come off once I use them then it seems a bit pointless

Has anyone fitted these who can give me a bit more info?

seems a bit pointless making them black in the 1st place then lol

Are there any others that are black that stay black?

It only disappears on the area swept by the pdas - the black stays on the edge and bell.

    comme ca...

Your not gonna get any discs that will stay black, unless you can find a way to colour steel. Any surface coatin will wear away as that's how discs work

not knocking anyone who has them but I think I'd rather have discs that are the same colour all over rather than black on the unswept parts and the normal colour on the rest, cheers for info tho and especially the pic

I wouldn't! I have some drilled and grooved disks and parts of them have gone rusty! I'll have to take the discks off and spray them up now! Black diamond disks would of been ideal as they are painted!
