just a quick question, my car is boosting then not boosting then boosting again, i think it may be the boost solenoid, anybody know how hard it is to change?
There 's two b/solenoids, one at front near actuator and one down back of engine. Which is easier fron underneath.
Somebody said better not to lay on top of engine and reach down in case somebodys looking!
2 star bolts 1 conector and 2 small pipes so yer easy job
courtney stage 3 zafira,Mitsubishi evo geek mapped to 389 and 470 lb of torque
i changed my rear one this morning and it took a few hours
seems the rear one needed female torx sockets whereas the front needs male.
female being bloody hard to access due to the location so i had to remove the vacuum box, then the metal bracket holding the BCS in place then remove the pipes then the BCS itself
it was actually straight forward and really only took about 25mins once i sussed out i had to remove the bracket etc due to the socket not fitting when BCS insitu.
I wasted about an hour lying over the engine but gave up in the end and went from underneath. . . thankfully no one saw me as it was about 6.30am! lol
