Exclamation FAO: MK5 SRiT & VXR Owners

I had a call from my dealer today telling me of rework to some Z20LER and Z20LEH engines. Basicaklly the manifold bolts may not be long enough. I had mine checked this afternoon and mine are going to be replaced with longer bolts, MikeSXi has also had his replaced.

If you've got a VXR or SRi Turbo with the Z20LER (200PS iirc), then get it checked asap.

UPDATE: Had my manifold bolts replaced today. Took about 2 hours to do. The bolts are taking roughly a week to get to the dealers because of demands, so make sure you get your car done if you haven't already.

I think it's only the more recent VXR's too - just '08 models but it's worth checking for previous ones too

As Gnasher said its the newer cars that it affects rather than the early cars. There will be recall letters going out to owners, some will already have had them.

If you go into your dealer you can check it to see if its affected and get it done quicker. Generally the letter are staggered inbatchs to avoid dealers being flooded with cars all needing done at once.
