    Trailer plug

Firstly, excuse me but I'm spanish and don't speak (write) english so good.

I found this forum at www.clubopelastra.com (spanish club).

I bought a bike-carrier for back-door. The Thüle Freeway 968, and the lightboard Thüle 976.

I tried to fit them, but the lightboard needs the trailer plug.

Is there any electrical diagram or how-to for fitting the trailer plug?

I'm afraid to not driving legally without the lightboard.

    Thanks!

    Welcome mate

There is no how-to on doing this but what i'm recomend is using a multimeter to test all the wires yourself

I assume you know that the factory plug for the trailor socket is behind the plastic panel in the boot opening?

Thanks autosparks. I searched for the factory plug, but there was nothing. I assume it's an extra and I didn't request it.
    I bought a universal 7 pin wire

I should use a multimeter as you said, and connect to the rear lights.

    Thanks.

It's something thats there on most uk cars, none of us request it. Usually on the right hand side tucked away in the metal work under the plastic boot panel that covers the latch on the main body of the car

Here in Spain the carrier-plug is an extra, I think. I looked for under the plastic boot panel, by the middle, but not in the right side. Then I'll look for again where you says.

I'll advise you if there are good news. Thanks again.
