    Alarm Categories

I've been looking for a website that shows all the different kinds of alarms and whether or not they're Thatcham approved but so far my search has been fruitless.

Does anyone know of such a place?

Click Security on the top right then Security Categories on the left hand side followed by Cat 1 for alarms or Cat 2 for immobilisers

having a look at thatcham's website it says they test the cars security by basically breaking into it.

This has an effect on your insurance therefore thinking about it, see if you totally relooked over all the security on the car e.g upgrade the locks change the mechanisms etc do yo uthink yo ucould reduce the insurance cost / group?

Might reduce the insurance it might not, they take alot into account when they work out your insurance.

I had a cat 1 cobra alarm fitted and reduced the insurance a little, not much though.
