    Adding cruise control

how is it you know if you can add cruise control a H? i think i read somewhere about something that can only be added at the factory having to be there for you to just add the stalk and get it activated?

Is this right or am i just talking **** and miles off!

    cheers kev

Look in the mk5 section at the bottom of the forum, there's plenty of comments about it, and it's pretty much covered.

on the H if you have a diesel then pretty much sure its just a case of plugging the stalk in and getting it plugged into a tech2 to be activated,

only reason why you cant is if you dont have the clutch switch (which iirc the diesels do) but when i had mine activated at vauxhall they said it was easy enough to fit anyway so isn't that much of an issue,

If you've got a diesel, you definately have a clutch switch. The car can't work without it.

You may find the cruise will work with the stalk without Tech2. It's about a 25% chance it'll work straight off.

It's just below £50 from memory. Something says £48+VAT. Don't quote me on that though.
