    a wierd tc switch question

    hi all
got the black panel for switch and a switch off someone on here for the astra g as the wiring is already there on the sri
problem is the switch seems to fit the heated seat wiring but not the tc
    pics of switch etc below
seems like my tc wiring has loads of pins and an odd 2 pin connector on it

isn't the TC switch loom blue?

the one you are holding is for the autobox or convertible roof?

    its the right switch,

just buy the loom from vauxhall and fit it yourself, is easy enough to do

what Andy says - even if you are one of the few that have the connector behind there, chances are this it's not fully wired in (ie won't work).

I had that problem, the loom was there so bought the switch and plugged it in but it doesn't work. Need to have a proper go at it when I have some spare time.

Anyone know what the big green connector block in the 3rd picture is for as I have this there (unused) also

    Welcome mate

The looms are there on some models but only wired behind the dash. For the trouble it would be to wire it elsewhere you may aswell but the proper wiring from Vauxhall

That larger green connector is for autogearbox models

    Cheers,

I bought a van with the z20let engine in. All in all its not a bad job, got the gsi axles, suspension, brakes and loom etc. Its practically a GSI in a van shell. Just keep finding a few little things that need sorting out (mostly wiring). Keeps me busy though lol
