Unhappy still got probs with my car!!

shit its so frustrating when your cars not running right isnt it and your not sure exactly whats up.....
i mean my gsi's starting to look the piece with its arden blue paint contrasting black team dynamics pro 1.2's,miltek exhaust and coilovers wating to go on .....arggggghhhhh

now ive changed the oil today and recently cleaned the breathers out which were very gunked up....theres was lots of pressure in crankcase which could really be felt when undoing the oil cap whilst the engine was warm and running.....
i was hoping the oil change and de-clogging of breathers would cure my smoke and hesitation on boost problems....but no the bloody cars still hesitating coughing and smoking....
the smokes blueish when hesitating at around 3000revs and comming onto boost....
and also when the cars left to idle for a bit it smokse but its white smoke.....!!
i'll try and get a vid up of the idle asap....
ive got a replacement standard turbo to go on but dont want to just stick that on if my problems are elsewhere.....
    any sugestions very appreciated

Sorry to hear it man. I know the feeling when your cars unwell and wont cure itself...and even worse, yours is looking good now.

Blue smoke isnt good is it mate?
My car has a little white smoke ocassionally, I thought it was just condensation/ water settled in the exhaust.

Im sure someone on here will offer up some advice.

blue smoke i think means that the oil seals have gone on the turbo, when you say you leave it to idle then it smokes white, is the car fully warmed up as that could just be water evaporating from the exhaust or i could be completly wrong and it may mean the piston rings are on there way out but fingers crossed here that its not the internals

im sure someone else will shed some light for you

white smoking gets worse the longer the car idles from cold and if i rev it does get pretty damn smokey.....
is there any easy ways of checking to see if piston rings have let go?
ive not got any dash lights up or anything.....

    Compression test

One way to check if your turbo is gone...
Take the pre-cat pipe of and feel the turbos exhaust propeller. If it has ANY axial movement it needs a repair/new.
The only way to be 100% certain that work has been done properly is to do it yourself.

i thought you might be able to a compression test on the piston rings.

as for the turbo thats the way to find out if the bearings have gone if theres play in the blades by takeing of the pre cat, but i think his seals have let go due to the blue smoke
