When i foolishly disclosed my plans for my ACT, there were a lot of people and suposadly reputable tuners who said "Why bother rebuilding your engine when you a re only going to stage 4?"
Well here's the answer - How lucky am i?
This is a pic of the lower centre carrier shell for the crank. And as you can see, there is chunck's of bearing material missing from the main running face, and the shoulders have deep wear marks on both sides. Im so glad i stuck to my guns and didnt go for the cheaper less hassle method because this could have spelt the end of my engine.
Fortunatly there is no scoring on the crank so i have been lucky in that respect as well.
Now i've got to build the dam thing again! Doh!! Anyone wanna help? lol
