    blocks

    ive heard that the z2olet block and x20xev block are the same is this correct? obviously pistons rods etc are different but are the blocks the same
    SRi-T Probably just over 200BHP

    in essense the old MK2 cav 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 block is the same as all the new ones just needs an oilway drilled out to make them work so sure most of the new 2.0 blocks are all the same

    Block will need to have a Hole Drilled an Tap for the oil return on the Turbo

    is that it all that is needed a return for the turbo all other dimensions etc are the same?

    has anybody ever done this? so it will handle the power? and of course the pistons will fit aswell?

    I've done it ... but with C20XE ... used the block for a C20LET ... and it handled 250 bhp perfectly ...

    The XEV and LET blocks are made from the same materials, have the same dimentions so it will handle the power like a LET. Pistons are the same diameter so they'll fit ...
    The only way to be 100% certain that work has been done properly is to do it yourself.
