Has your metal powerpipe cracked the I/C HELP!!

Just bought a metal powerpipe (regal style) and two silicone connector pipes for my Zafira but have been told that they can crack the standard I/C. Anyone had this and can suggest a way of fitting the pipe to reduce the risk?

I have tried to search for previous topics but can't find any!!

I posted that reply about the cracks, don't know of anyone that I could say that person has had issues but I definitely have read it a few times. The engine is on rubber mounts and can flex lots. The IC is stationary and the power pipe doesnt have enough flexability at its ends to stop the loads being transmitted into the IC. Seen a few side mounts for sale with upper fixings snapped off cos of these pipes on ebay

Good point made Andy, last thing I want to do is knacker the I/C because of fitting this pipe.

I'm going to go for a silicone hump pipe to help reduce the risk. Anyone else used them?
