Help with boost problem and managment light

Hi, just wondered if anyone can help me out with my latest problem!

A couple of weeks ago my Zafira Gsi (Z20LET running Regal 3.5) threw up a managment light so I took it to a mate and it turns out it's fault code P0170. The car stills starts and runs smoothly but it has knocked the boost down from 20psi to 12psi.
Also at the same time I have noticed the oem dump valve on the VXR turbo now sounds alot louder than it used to, before you could only just hear it but now it's quite prominent.

I've search the forums for a few days now and i'm looking into replacing the VXR AFM and i've got new iridium plugs to go on at the weekend. The only thing I haven't had time to check is the hoses but when I called Regal they said if it was a loose hose it would over boost not under boost.

Has anyone else got any ideas?

    Cheers

I have had a look after you said that the New AFM didnt solve the issue, i found this:

might be worth contacting CS, to see if they can shed some light mate. Its for this error code on a mazda, but i am sure they will still be the same solutions.

I have the same problem .... looks for now that my AFM is the cause ... but it can also be the O2 sensor...
