Blocked off pipe under cross over pipe?

When I bought my car it was already fitted with a catch tank aka bottom with pipe going into it... for what reason I dont know.

Took the crossover pipe off to change the coil-pack and plugs and noticed something was blocked off under it??? Wouldnt mind removing the 'catch tank' and putting it back to how it should be and refitting the airbox.

you need the pipe that goes from cam cover to cross over dont try to use a biy of straight pipe as it needs to vurve round and if you use a straight biy it tends to kink and you wil end up with back pressure in cam housing and will smoke

i'm guesing that it's the hole in the bottom of the oem crossover pipe that is blocked to stop air getting in now that the original vent pipe from the camcover is removed and been replaced with a pipe to the catch tank? the catch tank is to colect the small amount of oil that would have been sucked through the vent pipe and still vent crank case fumes! most peeps run a return from the catch tank back to the hole/tee in under the oem crossover so the fumes from the catch tank are sucked out and burned during combustion without the oil wich be going into the ic and the top hat cloging things up on the oe system! its a mod i will do with mine as you'll often find oil inside the ic and inlet pipes on cars without it!
hope this hels and makes some scence!
