    Drivers Front Speaker not working...

    Hi,

I was just trying the Auto EQ feature on my Pioneer P88RSII and consequently found that my drivers side front speaker is not working. I didnt even notice it had gone tbh, the sound reproduction is really, really good on this unit!

Now I have just run the cabling through my car for the subwoofer and not sure if I have done something?!?!

Power down the drivers side in covoluted tubing
RCAs and remote down the passengers in braided hosing

What I'm asking is how can I check to see if it is the wiring is at fault or the speakers itself?

    Thanks

    Milz

The only way is to get to the back of both.

The easiest way to get behind the headunit is to whip the glovebox out.

Speaker, it's doorcard off. (There's a How to in the technical section)

Does the tweeter work in the drivers door? If it does the problems likely to be the headunit end (unless you have upgraded your speakers)

Yes, the tweater does work! Never thought it did much until I heard it without the speaker working

What is the most likely problem to be at the headunit end? Loose wire (wishful thinking?)

Was just going to post exactly that.

TBH if it's the standard speakers, and you've not touched it.

It'll be the wiring at the back of the Headunit.

I've just had exactly the same, drivers door speaker not working. Had the door card off, checked with another speaker.
Whipped out the glovey, and had a lose connector.

As Keif says it's just likely to be a loose wire, sometimes one of the wires will push out the ISO connector on the new headunits wiring

Check the grey and grey/black wires

Quick update: Checked all the connections behind the glovebox/headunit and they all seem well and truley connected! Was just about to pop the door card off but the heavens have opened up on me Shall update when I get a chance to sort this out hopefully!
