I spend my life (according to some here!) looking for a decent rain repellent so I don't need wipers

Been through 4 different brands of rain repellent in the past 6 months to find one I like:

    RainX
    AquaPel
    Halfords RainX copy
    Comma Rain Clear Gel

Very impressed with the Rain Clear Gel - goes on and polishes off way nicer than RainX and certainly lasts longer for me - 400+ miles per week tests most of these pretty well. I don't like using wipers, they're a slight distraction for me for whatever reason!

If you drive much above 40mph the water blows straight up the windscreen and you don't need wipers on.

Aside from that, rain beads on the window instead of 'sticking' flat so visibility even at low speeds is way way better. Probably find some video's on YouTube etc. Pretty much what happens when it rains on your car after a good wax, the water beads and runs off almost instantly.

It also adds to the look of the car when it rains - if every surface is treated with something (wax, tyre black/gel, rubber trim etc) the whole car just beads water
