    VX220 Airbox

    Does anyone know if a airbox from a vx220 will fit my mk4 gsi. Theirs 1 in my scrappy but dont want to go up their (30miles away) to find it doesnt fit. Appreciate the help cheers

    presuming of course its the Z20LET version of the VX220 then yes the airbox is a direct replacement of the one found on the mk4 GSi (and indeed all Mk4 models except the 2.2)

    if u look on the bottom right of the lid it should have the part number 90531002 which will confirm this

    If its gone and ur stuck - gimme a shout as I have one for sale complete with ZLET hoses if required

    Sorry i meant to say the 2.2 version as i want to get rid of the crossover etc and convert my z20let to a 2.2airbox

    yes they do mate but they require a bit of work
    i did this and i ended up spending around 100-150 to get it right
    i can tell you what i brought if you want some to know what parts to buy

    2.2 lid is pretty much the same as the regular lid (dosent come back on itself for plumbing straight into airbox.


    Best getting one for an astra anyway as although it may look similar ('let) setup wise it does have a different part number so probably a bit smaller or similar.

    I have done it 2 times not on my car

    Yeah i liked the idea of the 2.2 as i wouldnt have to buy any other hoses and like the idea of oem looking.

    its a better setup then the 2,2 Airbox i think
    move's the AFM away From very Hot turbo
    also you dump the Cross over pipe over the top of the engine

    No it won't fit - on the VX220 the airbox sits on the nearside and the inlet is on the front and the outlet is on the back of the box. It's on the offside on an Astra, and both stub pipes are on the front
