    Astra H 120 CDTI

    hi all now thinking of 1.9Cdti 120 as cant get insured on 150 (tried every where) what sort of figures can i be looking at with a Tuning box and map? cheers

    No idea where you're getting these figures from?

    I've never seen/heard/known of anyone to get near 200bhp on the 120PS model.

    Fitted options: Folding mirrors, cruise control, dual tone horn, remap.

    cant remember where i read it (prob on here!), but something along the lines of the 16v 120bhp being exactly the same engine as the 150 in every way, except its de-tuned.

    VX thinking everyone would go for the 150bhp, but they didnt and couldnt keep up with the demand for the 120bhp so detuned the 150bhp in the early days.

    No link i'm afraid.....Perhaps someone could either confirm, or call Bullsh1t!

    i just assumed that the 8valve model wasnt quite ready in time lol so they bunged in the 16v units instead

    iirc some of the 888 models were originally 120 models before tweeking, so around 200 ponies is certainly possible.

    as above iirc the early 120's were pretty much a detuned 150 and all were 16v,
    then they changed to the 1.9 8v 120ps, and 1.9 16v 150ps.

    Yeah, the first 20 or so 888 (mk5) were 120 BHP models

    Vauxhall soon made the 8V to replace it though!
