Remaps, do you have to have your actuator adjusted every now and again?

Got a regal ph1. When i had switchable boost fitted a year ago i had driveabiltiy issues which i expalined to them when i arrived namely lifting on/off accel pedal resulted in car jerking / kicking back. Anyway was told it was the acutator that needed adjusting, which they did and all sorted. However around july time this year it started again and now im sure its not pulling as hard as it was and that the boost is not correct suggesting it needs tweaking again. Who else has to keep tweaking theirs? never had to before i had it done.

The actuators do go spongy mate the spring inside gets weak, I wouldn't have thought it'd be the case on a phase 1 though??

Do you have the VXR turbo on it as I think the actuator is better on the VXR?? Only other thing is to make sure your Boost Control solenoids are okay and if they are then consider a -31 cosworth actuator or a Courtenay or Regal one..

Had a flick thru, not really up on all the terminology, i dont have a dump valve. Car is totally standard other than remap, vxr actuator and switchable boost. No other engine mods or anythin. whats this recirc valve and if i disable it wont it affect the engine somehow?

Have a quick read of this: http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...ad.php?t=86465

The turbo has an integrated recirc dump valve.
