Been a long time reader but finally decided to join up with community after purchasing my car in June.
Its a 2008 1.9CDTi SRi 150 3dr in Moon Silver.
Specified the following options:
Keyless Entry and Start
(Didn't get nav as I wanted to put in my own nav)
Here are some pics of when I first got it:
Also had some ICE installed:
Alpine IVA-W505R Double Din head unit
Alpine NVE-099P Sat Nav
Alpine PXE-H701 Sound Processor
Alpine TUE-T150DVB Digital TV Receiver (Freeview)
Parrott Bluetooth Car Kit
JL Audio ZR-650 CSi components in the front doors
JL Audio C5-650x coaxials in the rear quarters
JL Audio 10w6
JL Audio 300/2 to power the ZR's
JL Audio 300/4 to power the C5's
JL Audio 500/1 to power the 10w6.
Have also had the both front doors and both rear quarters dynamatter and dynaliner'd to get as much out of the speakers as much as possible. And trust me, makes a HUGE difference!
Here are some pics of the audio:
The car is currently having its boot install done as we speak .
Also since buying it have had it dropped on eibach pro kit springs.
Took a ton of pics when I had it done so sorry if it takes a while to load!
After the audio is complete I'm wanting to change the wheels, however I can't seem to find ANY wheels or reps that I would want that actually fit the astra fitment without going down the custom wheels route.
So I have a couple of questions before I invest in a set of rims...
1. What offset are the standard 18" rims?
2. Whats the width of the standard rims?
3. What is the maximum width I could have in the front and rear? Would I be completely crazy in thinking I could get 9.5j on the rear?
In an unrelated matter, when I first go tthe car I took it to paramount performance in slough to have it remapped as they have a rolling road also, however I was told that they couldn't do it as the car has an "ECU Lock" on it until 1000 miles?!?
4. I have never heard of this?? Can anyone substantiate this or is it false?
Thanks for your help with this and thanks for looking at this super long thread lol. Hope to become a bit more active on here and hopefully come along to a few astra meets!
