    1.7 dti flat spot

    well guys ive had the car to diesel specialist
    today and they took the egr off cleaned it refitted it
    and the car still has the same flat spot has any body had this problem
    before.
    can any one shed some light on it for me

    Where abouts is the flat spot mate.. where in the rev range?

    the flat spot is between 2000rpm and 3000rpm if thats any good

    That should be when the turbo is in full swing! Sounds like maybe it could be a problem with that mate... Try getting it to Vauxhall or have it plugged into a proper diagnostic machine and see if there are any error codes in the ECU..

    thanks for the reply my friend. the wifes just got home
    and theres a light on the dash car with spanner going back to diesel specialist in the morning this could be it

    Yeh light on the dash is showing a problem in the ECU.. get the codes read and should give you a better idea as to what is going on!

    Come back here with the error codes as the fixes arent always as the specialist may think!

    my 17 starts to pick up just after 2 k and pulls though to about 4 and half

    well took car back with engine light on they didnt coudnt and wouldnt give a fault code number just said a pipe had come off the egr starting to look at the acutater thingy gonna give it clean will keep you all posted
