Both part numbers are in the How-To which was linked in your last thread on this subject

but in case youve forgotten then 9177099 & 9177104

    heres the how-to http://www.astraownersclub.com/docum...ectra-pipe.pdf

you dont need to tell them anything - but if they are arsey its an air inlet pipe and adaptor pipe for a Vectra C Diesel (various models) but thats irrelevant and frankly none of his business

Quote the 2 part numbers and thats it

I went into mine with the part numbers on a bit of paper and said 'I would like to buy these please.'. Nothing to do with them if you have a Vectra or not!

If they wish to be stupid and say you have an Astra then say it's for your Mum's car or something!

Tell them bollox. At the end of the day you want to buy something from Vauxhall regardless of what car it comes from tell them its none of their business. If they still want to play hard ball just simply tell them you'll go to another dealership that won't give you this hassle so they either take your money and give you the part of they loose your business (probably forever).

Word of advise. Its always good to get on well with the part dept's personnel Steve thompson cars in Lichfield are great really really helpful and can't do enough for you even though your looking for obscure parts for odd vehicles.
