    Question Low profile tyres

I need to get some new tyres on my car next month and im thinking of going a lower profile. My current tyre size is 205/50r/16. What tyres could i get and how much will they roughly cost?

    cheers

Not sure on what size you can have.....but as for price all depends on the type of tyre you want.....i've got 205/40/17's, budget tyres being £45 going right upto £130 a corner fitted and balanced

Have a look on www.mytyres.co.uk will give you a rough idea of sizes and prices

    205/45/16

EDIT - forget the above they dont list anything lower than 205/50

These are a very good tyre - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/16-inch-Yokoha...d=p3286.c0.m14 - Yokohama parada, 205 / 45 / 16 My local tyre centre does these at £70 a corner balanced and fitted

never heard of nexen, but these are cheap - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-x-205-40-16-...d=p3286.c0.m14

read up on tyres at - www.tyrereviews.co.uk

Ditto. The 45's on a 16" on an Astra will look very small.

Half-decent 205/50/16's will be perfectly fine, I'm very happy with my Toyo Proxes CF-1s for ~£60 or so per wheel fitted, though I may try some Falken's (452?) or some UniRoyal Rainsport 2's next time if price permits, both get excellent comments on here. Or I may stick with the CF-1's as I find them excellent in wet and dry.

I've currently got 205/50/r16 tyres on mine, and at the moment I'm using Debica ones. They are directional and a soft compound, and stick to the road doing 60mph round the roundabouts where I live (I only do it early in the morning or late at night on the nation limit bypass before someone says I'm speeding! ).

Best thing, they are only £45 a corner
