Unhappy Help derestricted the air box on mk4 astra coupe!!!

derestricted the air box on astra and now it runs lumpy at idle feels like revs going to drop but picks up again then falls. hear a burble through the back box at idle as the engine revs lower then pick back up.

Did you disconnect anything to remove the airbox? De restricting it wouldn't cause a lumpy idle.

That isn't the part you need, it looks like the standard intake but bigger. Think the part numbers are in the how-to guide.

There is a sensor on the back of the airbox on a slider clip, make sure its connected ok.

Also check all the air pipes are connected OK

    Part numbers
    Main Pipe 9177099
    Adaptor to Airbox 9177104
Don't buy them online or from eBay as you will get ripped off big time, buy them from a dealer. Cost about £15

It will run fine with the standard pipe + de restricted, it will be a different problem causing the lumpy idle. Did you disconnect AFM?

could it be due to the fact we have run out of fuel on camp and my needle is near bottom. am i mistaking engine fault with fuel pick up problems. there aint no engine management light so could running outa fuel be the culprit...lol

feel like the AOC prat of the week if it is.
