    turbo manifold nut tourqe setting

    hi got to replace all nuts on manifold as the idiots that fitted the vxr turbo to my coupe b4 i got it decide to use the old ones and not replace the precat gasket and its leakin real bad now so if anyone knows the tourqe settings please let me know. cheers

    8nm for the manifold nuts fella, just nip them up by hand and its enough mine been fine ever since.

    i fort it was 25nm for the manifold nuts?

    the problem is finding a torque wrench that goes as low as 8nm, i recently did mine to 10nm and mine has a habit of finding a leak. this was the 1st time i used a torque wrench and its been fine so far

    my haynes manual says 25nm which is 16lbfts

    Your right mate haynes manual does not cover the Z20let engine as they never made one. 8nm is correct torque for them but most nip them down to 10nm just to be safe, anymore and they will end up snapping off as they stretch with the heat of the turbo.
